Timothy Gordon Dorris, 55, of McMinnville, passed away on Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at St. Thomas Midtown Medical Center in Nashville.  He was born in Memphis on Aug. 27, 1968, to the late Kenneth “Ken” and Ann (Hampton) Dorris. Timothy was currently employed at Yorozu in McMinnville, where he had been employed for twenty years. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed cheering for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Chicago Cubs and North Carolina Tarheels basketball. He also enjoyed watching Star Wars, Star Trek and Marvel movies, especially with his boys. He was a wonderful father and will be remembered for his quick-wit and intellect. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several aunts and uncles. Timothy is survived by his sons, Tobyn Dorris and Gavin Dorris; sister, Tracey (David) Denton; nephews, Adam Denton and family; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.  Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 1 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.  Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens.
