It’s open for business!

As of Thursday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m., McMinnville’s Hampton Inn was open and accepting reservations for the following night.

The opening of McMinnville’s newest hotel has been much awaited and was celebrated with a tour organized by the McMinnville-Warren County Chamber of Commerce and other local officials. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned in the near future.

Larry Flatt, executive director of the Motlow Automation and Robotics Training Center said, “We have visitors from all over the United States. No longer will they have to stay in Murfreesboro. I have a class opening in a week and we are already receiving calls to see if the hotel is open.”

It’s common for classes at the Robotics Center to last a week, meaning out-of-town visitors typically need a place to stay for four or five nights.

The three-story, 73-room Hampton Inn has a meeting room and meeting nooks, an exercise room which includes free weights and treadmills, and an outdoor pool. All rooms contain a microwave and mini fridge.

A free hot breakfast bar is provided every morning that includes waffles and a treat shop will be located in the lobby for those who need to purchase a snack on the run. Rather than a key card, an app is available to gain entry to each room. Also, if you choose wisely in your room choice, you may get a view of some of the majestic Tennessee mountains.

Rooms will start at approximately $120 per night, though Hilton Honors members may receive additional discounts.

“It’s a catalyst for many other projects that will increase the growth and prosperity of Warren County,” said Don Alexander, executive director of the Warren County Industrial Development Board.

Real estate developer David Hunt owns our Hampton Inn hotel, an $11.3 million investment. Hampton Inn is under the Hilton umbrella of hotels and Hunt says Hilton is known nationally for its commitment to quality.

“The Hilton banner is what brings people back,” said Hunt. “When people stay here, they know they will get a safe, clean room at a fair price. Hilton has people come in religiously to do checks to make sure we maintain the high standards that are expected.”

Prior to Hampton Inn opening on Thursday, McMinnville Inn was previously the most recent hotel to open in McMinnville. It was constructed 30 years ago in 1991.
