The Cumberland Presbyterians at Blues Hill reached a major milestone recently when they celebrated their 125 anniversary. The church was established in 1886.The event was well attended with several past pastors telling stories of their time at Blues Hill, and letters from for those who could not attend were read during the time of memory sharing.Rev. Lyon Walkup led the celebration and it began with the ringing of the original bell from the first church building. Rusty Mangrum, a direct descendent of the founders, and Damon Smith, the youngest and newest member, rang the bell together.Guest singers were The Second Generation, accompanied by Naomi Smith on piano.
