Bobby Nelson Haile, 83, of Sparta, passed away on March 4, 2025.

Bobby was born on Feb. 26, 1942, in Gainsboro, Tenn. to the late Malcolm Haile and the late Doris Norton Haile. Bobby taught school and coached at schools in DeKalb County, Warren County and White County. Bobby was a member of the Warren County and White County Halls of Fame. He played football for Tennessee Tech. Bobby was a member of the Church of Christ. His hobbies were fishing and golfing.

In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by brother, James Haile and brother-in-law, Andy Alley.

Surviving family includes sisters, Maudine Flatt of Cookeville and Linda Alley of Sparta; brothers, Barry Haile of Oak Ridge and Tony Haile (Angela) of Murfreesboro; sister-in-law, Juanita Haile of Murfreesboro; nephews, Randy and Terry Alley and David Flatt; and nieces, Candace Hugus, Tuesday McConnell, Ashley Haile, Connie Miller, Debbie Sanders, Pat Hudgens, Kayla Roden and Joyce Ballard.

A celebration of life will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, March 16 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Jeff Turner and Phillip Saylors officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. with services to follow.
