Rocky River community resident and Rutherford County native Brent Edward Boyd, 43, was born Jan. 26, 1978 and died Aug. 9 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville following an extended illness.

A former millworker with Cumberland Lumber Company and a member of the Baptist church, he was the son of Steve and Shirley Ann

Boyd of the Rocky River community. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Edward and Lucille Boyd, maternal grandparents Cobet and Irene Boyd, and brother Edward Steven Boyd.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Boyd is survived by brother Joey Boyd of the Centertown community, niece Harley Boyd of Murfreesboro, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, at High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek in Warren County. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
