Mr. Charles A. Talley, 78, of McMinnville (Mt. Leo community) died Sunday, March 28, at his residence. 

He was born April 22, 1942, in Smithville, formerly worked at Avaco, DeZurik, and Oster, had delivery routes with Avalon Dairy and also with Colonial and Sunbeam Bread Companies, and served his country with the U.S. Army. A member of the Church of Christ, Mr. Talley was preceded in death by parents John Robert and Thelma Louise Taylor Talley, granddaughter Caitlin Sierra Talley, and brothers Jack and Wayne Talley.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years Sepal Malone Talley, their children Chuck Talley and Charlise Madewell and husband Bryan, grandchildren Shellie Vazques, Jeffery Grissom, Jered Grissom, Mitchell Madewell, and Meghan Madewell, great-grandchildren Brooklyn Barker, Jena Grissom, Ryker Grissom, Maddie Mae Grissom, Tucker Vazques, and Aireal Vazues, and sisters Peggy Verplank, Shirley Ware and Brenda Wanamaker and husband Hal. Several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive. Per his request, Mr. Talley will be cremated. No immediate services are planned.
