Floyd L. Parsley, 85

Madison resident and Warren County native Floyd L. Parsley, 85, was born Dec. 17, 1926 and died May 3 at Alive Hospice in Nashville.
A retired employee of Pirelli-Armstrong Tire Company, a United States Army veteran of World War II and member of Neely’s Bend Church of Christ, he was the son of the late John H. and Emma Green Parsley. Mr. Parsley was an avid hunter and fisherman and a master gardener. He was married to his wife of 67 years, Robie Redmon Parsley of Madison. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Ken (Reba) Parsley of Nashville, and Darryl Parsley of Hartford, Conn., granddaughters, Shelley (Greg) Burchyett and Stacey (Jason) Loy and great-grandsons, Zachary and Stephen Burchyett, and Nathaniel and Benjamin Loy.
A graveside service and interment will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Webb Cemetery at Bluff Springs with Mike Tidwell and Norman Slate officiating. Full military honors will be administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at High’s.
