McMinnville resident and Warren County native Gerald Edward Curtis, 73, was born June 11, 1950 and died suddenly Nov. 9, 2023 at his residence.           

A retired USSSA and NSA umpire, maintenance worker and a member of St. Mary’s Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Bruce Curtis, Jr. and Agnes Lee Clendenon Evans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by cousin, Clay Martin.

Mr. Curtis is survived by uncle, Sam Martin of McMinnville and cousins, Kay Foster, Ray Martin, Eddie Clendenon and Ricky Clendenon, all of McMinnville. 

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12 at Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek in Warren County with Greg Rains and Tommy Foster officiating. There will be no service or visitation at High’s. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels or St. Mary’s Church of Christ.
