Gertie Francis Youngblood, 95, died Tuesday, Feb. 7 at Woodbury Nursing Center following an extended illness.A native of Cannon County, she lived in Woodbury and was a member for over 70 years at Centerhill Baptist Church. Ms. Youngblood was a retired factory worker, homemaker and basket maker. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Garland and Linda Youngblood of Woodbury; grandchildren, Ken (Fay) Youngblood of McMinnville, Avery (Nancy) Youngblood of Woodbury; great-grandchildren, Jeff and Steven Smith; Scott and Kevin Youngblood, and Lynesa Bell; and great-great-grandchildren, Rayton, Emeline, Aiden, Casen, Cade, Meredith, Madison and Nora.She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Tillie Manus Thomas; husband, Elvert Youngblood; son, Leon Youngblood, daughter-in-law, Margie Youngblood and sister, Elsie Youngblood.Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 11 a.m. today with Greg Mitchell officiating.
