James Lee Jett, 74, of Morrison, formerly of Cumming Ga., passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 12, 2024, at Ascension St Thomas Hospital in McMinnville. 

Mr. Jett is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Aby Akins Jett; sister, Barbara Jett Sams; and in-laws, Early C. Audrey Bennett Fields.

Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy Linda Fields Jett; children, Eric Lee Jett (Misty) and Matthew James Jett (Dianne); grandchildren, Kayla Milstead (Gary) and Logan Jett; great granddaughters, Gracie and Karaline Milstead; sister, Brenda Jett Bell Chastain; brothers-in-law, Randall Fields (Sherry) and Amos Fields (Kathy); several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews as well as many friends, neighbors and Rook playing buddies in Tennessee. 

Services to honor the life of Mr. James Lee Jett were Friday, Nov. 15 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Byrd, Rev. Randall Woody and Rev. Phillip Martin officiating. Special music was by Gerald Sweatman, burial followed in the Sawnee View Gardens. Visitation was Thursday, Nov. 14, from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. and again Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service. Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, Ga. is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Forsyth County Fire Explorer Program or Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund.
