James William Potts, 49, of Hartford City, Ind., passed from this life Monday, Feb. 11, at his home in Hartford City, Ind.

James was born Friday, Jan. 30, 1970 in McMinnville, the son of the late James Potts and the late Linda Church Butcher. He is survived by his wife Ramona Bateman Potts, three sons William Kenneth Potts, Jay Samual Ray Potts, and Gregory Leon Potts, daughter Faith Vaughan, three stepchildren Scott Deardorff, Steven Deardorff, Stephanie Langeston, sister Kim McKnight and husband Jeff, brother James Billy “Junior” Taylor, brother-in-law Steve Butcher, stepfather Waymon Butcher, stepmother Conita Potts, stepbrothers Burt Ferrell, Mike Ferrell and wife Sherrie, stepsister Deanna Ferrell, three grandsons, two granddaughters, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In additon to his parents, James was preceded in death by two sisters Sherry Denise Owens and Lesa Faye Butcher.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hills Creek Cemetery.
