Mr. Jeff Cantrell, 48, of Morrison, died Thursday, Oct. 06, 2022 at home.
He was born July 17, 1974, in Murfreesboro, and was a member of the Shady Grove Church of Christ. After high school, he worked at Calsonic Yorozu, followed by Flower City Nursery. He has been employed at West Warren-Viola Utility District for the last 21 years, serving in the position of maintenance supervisor for the last eight years. He also had a life-long love of horses, mules and being outdoors. Jeff was preceded in death by his father Robert “Bob” Cantrell; parents-in-law Clyde and Frieda Crouch; sister-in-law April Crouch; grandparents James A. and Hazel Cantrell and Bill and Earlene Ray, several aunts and uncles including a special uncle Wayne Ray.
Survivors include wife Kelle Cantrell; mother Juanita Cantrell; step-children Erin (Daniel) Castillo, Morgan Dyer, and Jayme Dyer; grandchildren (who lovingly called him MiMi), Emory, Alex and Jaxson, Jonah and Josie, Carter and Clyde; brother Lynn (Marla) Cantrell, nephew Nick Cantrell, niece Kailyn (Cody) Simpson, brother-in-law Keith (Jennifer) Crouch; special friends, the Harrell Family – Scott & Betsy, McKay, Macy (JR), and Myla; Scott Dyer, Coty Grissom and Brownie “Pa” Lawrence. Several aunts, cousins, and many special friends also survive.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Dale Woods will officiate. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held with the Cantrell family on Sunday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at McMinnville Funeral Home.
Employees of the West Warren-Viola Utility District (WWVUD) are requested to serve as honorary pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
