John Alexander Barron, 74, of McMinnville passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024. He was born in Akron, Ohio to the late, Herman and Wilma nee' Gibson Barron.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Robert, Janet and Penny; and his daughter, Monica Barron. 

John is survived by his daughters, Milissa (Blake) Davis  and Tracy (Brian) Ludikowski; granddaughter, Autumn Ludikowski and grandson, Devin Ludikowski; siblings, Sue (Mark) Douglas, Anne (Scott Wicks), Carol (Juan) Mar Velazquez and Greg (Kelly) Freedman; aunts, Norma Gibson Payne and Marie Gibson Strong; his dear friend, Esther Hurst and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.

John retired as a city maintenance worker. He proudly served in the United States Marie Corps during the Vietnam War. He loved to watch old western TV shows and movies, especially a devoted John Wayne fan. 

A graveside service will be held 1 p.m.  Friday, Aug. 23, at Chattanooga National Cemetery, 200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404 with military honors to be provided by the United States Marine Corps.
