Mr. Johnnie Walter Stewart, 84, of McMinnville died Tuesday, March 23, at Raintree Manor after an extended illness.He was born in Smithville on July 13, 1926, the son of the late Floyd W. and Bessie M. (Pirtle) Stewart. He was a factory worker and a self-employed nursery worker who served in the U.S. Army as a private in World War II. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by sister Sylvia J. Witty.He is survived by daughter, Dianne P. Milstead of McMinnville, three sisters, Jean McCutcheon of Dallas, Texas, Ruth M. and husband Clyde West of McMinnville, Patsy J. and husband Gene McMahan of McMinnville, two granddaughters, Monica M. Milstead of Florida and Melanie R. Milstead of McMinnville, and two great-grandchildren.A graveside service will be held today at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville at 1 p.m. with Bro.
