Smyrna resident and Warren County native Joyce Ann Watson, 73, was born March 6, 1950 and died June 29, 2023 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro following an extended illness.
A retired x-ray technician with River Park Hospital and member of Highland Heights Church of Christ, she was the daughter of Thelma Cantrell of McMinnville and the late Thomas "Rabbit" Sullens. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandson-in-law, Robert Pinkham.
In addition to her mother, Ms. Watson is survived by three children, Tresa Harrison and Rhonda (James) Greenwood both of Smyrna and Bradford (Melanie) Watson of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Chelsea Pinkham, Christian Harrison, Sarah Greenwood, Ashton Greenwood, Paige Greenwood, Camden Watson and Margaux Watson; three great-grandchildren, Eli Pinkham, Cambrie Pinkham and Ezra Pinkham; three siblings, Gary Wayne (Judy) Sullens of McMinnville, Betty Frances (David) Taylor of Woodbury and Carl Eugene (Vonda) Sullens of Murfreesboro and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Monday, July 3, in High's Chapel with Rannie Phillips officiating. Burial followed in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until time of service Monday at High's.
