McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native Osburn Huntley, age 86, was born May 26, 1938 and died April 10, 2025 at NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness.
Mr. Huntley was a retired employee of Jewell Hale Construction and retired plumber, electrician, fabricator, gardener, logger and antique tractor restorer. He was a member of the Warren County Antique Tractor Association. He loved tractor pulling and wrestling.
He was the son of the late William Henry and Maggie Belle Delon Huntley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Robert Howard Huntley; sisters, Henrietta Huntley and Jewell McCormick; half-sisters, Ora Belle Womack and Wavey Harrah and half-brother, J.B. Huntley.
Mr. Huntley was married June 4, 1966 to Ruby Huntley of McMinnville who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Jennifer (Sidney) Grove of McMinnville, Claudia (Andy) Scott of Acworth, GA and Joe Huntley of McMinnville; grandchildren, Tyler (Cassie) Grove and Emily Grove both of McMinnville, Justin (Kaitlyn) Scott of Dallas, GA and Carson Huntley of McMinnville; great-grandson, Bodie Scott of Dallas, GA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services was held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Andy Scott to officiate. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Saturday from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
