Royal Monroe Chisam of McMinnville passed away from this life on Jan. 12, 2025. A native of White County and a graduate of White County High School in Sparta, he was a member of Westwood Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Nell Ruth Mullican Chisam; a son, Richard Chisam; grandson, Brandon Hill; four brothers, Anthony Chisam, Hamilton Chisam, Atheron Nelson Chisam and Telson Chisam; and his parents, George and Nanna Crocker Chisam.
