Samantha Renee Cox Blanton, 27, of Sparta died Tuesday morning, May 22, at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. She was born June 24, 1984 in Smithville. She was a certified nursing assistant and was a member of Dayspring Community Church.She is survived by her husband, Scott Blanton of Sparta, parents Kenneth and Leeann Cox of McMinnville, sisters Dana O’Neal of McMinnville, and Amanda (Richard) Blackburn of Morrison, and nieces Sierra Griffith, Tristen Griffith and Gracie O’Neal.Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Hunter Funeral Home in Sparta with Rex Boles officiating.
