William Baker Anderson, 89, of McMinnville died on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at Woodbury Nursing Center.
William was born Thursday, Dec. 8, 1932 in Tracy City. He was the son of the late Elizabeth Baker and Elbert Nelson Anderson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Ted Anderson, J.R. Anderson and Sam Anderson.
Mr. Anderson in survived by his children, William David and Hazel Anderson of St. Augustine, Fla., Michael and Danita Anderson of McMinnville and Donna Mears of McMinnville; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; brother, Wallace Anderson of Franklin; sisters, Carolyn Anderson of Centerville, Evelyn Goddard of Lebanon and Elizabeth Rhea of Granbury, Texas; several nieces, nephew and friends also survive.
Mr. Anderson is a United States Air Force Veteran.
William started working at Carrier when it first opened in McMinnville and was still employed there when the factory closed. He then went to work for Rich Food Products of Murfreesboro where he later retired. He enjoyed camping, fishing and was a member of the Church of Christ.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
