Margaret Hobbs started with the Southern Standard in 1993 as editor of the children’s newspaper, the Mini Standard, working with 12 area schools. Over the years, she has added the duty of Lifestyle editor and finds joy in interacting with folks and presenting their “happy” news. Margaret has been married to her childhood sweetheart, Michael, for almost 50 years. Her spare time is spent traveling, and enjoying her three daughters and six grandchildren.

4-H members honoredOver 300 of Warren County’s most outstanding 4-H’ers, sponsors, and volunteer leaders were recently honored at the 2019 Warren County 4-H Awards Banquet at Warren County High School. Awards were presented to junior, junior high, and senior high 4-H members that have demonstrated outstanding participation and involvement in the 4-H program in the last year.
