Screams were coming from both sidelines. Fans were out of their chairs and going wild. The scoreboard was deadlocked at 31-31 and Raul Manus knew the moment his feet touched the mat the district championship was on the line. The Pioneers had the perfect guy stepping in the circle to get the job done. Manus clinched a District 7-AA championship for the WCHS wrestling team Thursday, pinning Joseph Weese just before the end of the first round of the 157-pound matchup to push the Pioneers past Oakland 37-31 in the road victory.
