Pioneers take down Coffee County

Jeffery Simmons photo A downpour didn't seem to bother Chance Hunter. The Pioneer pitcher went six innings Monday against Coffee County before giving way to the bullpen in the late innings. Warren County was able to prevail 6-5 in nine innings against its Central Tennessee Conference rival.

It took until the closing seconds to seal the deal, but in the end the Pioneers came away with an undefeated finish and their second straight state championship at the Tennessee Special Olympics basketball tournament Saturday.
