Searching for a silver lining would just be a waste of time for the Pioneers in the preseason. By Monday, every team will be 0-0 and the real games start. Warren County closed its preseason scrimmages with a tough night at home against Shelbyville as the varsity Pioneers lost 13-0 in one half of play, the JV fell 6-0 in a quarter of action and the freshman group tied the Golden Eagles 6-6. Freshman AJ Whitman was able to keep the Pioneers from being shut out at home, breaking off a 24-yard TD run in the last moments as he bounced off tacklers on his way to the endzone.
