Get candy indoors at Mall-O-Ween
Mall-O-Ween
Three Star Mall manager Sigourney Younglove prepares for the Mall-O-Ween trick or treating from 4 to 6 p.m. on Halloween.

If you’re looking for a climate-controlled alternative to trick-or-treating, Three Star Mall will be holding its annual indoor Mall-O-Ween on Halloween from 4 to 6 p.m.

On Thursday, Oct. 31, Three Star Mall and the stores and shops located inside will be giving out candy to children. Visitors can go to each store to trick-or-treat while dressed in their Halloween finest.

So far, the mall has purchased over 20,000 pieces of candy. Many stores will be purchasing their own to hand out. Candy is first come, first serve. Sigourney Younglove, mall manager, estimates between 500 to 800 kids will be in attendance.

“We like to give back to the community and by providing a safe and warm environment for trick-or-treating, we feel like it’s a good alternative for both parents and children,” says Younglove.

With temperatures expected to be cooler and rain in the extended forecast for Halloween night, the event inside the mall can be a welcome alternative. Being inside also provides a higher safety measure since children won’t be going from house to house along busy streets.

Three Star Mall is located at 1410 Sparta Street. For more information, call 473-1515.
