Main Street McMinnville, in partnership with the City of McMinnville, is hosting a back-to-school celebration on Saturday July, 29. From 3 to 5 p.m. the Back-to-School Community Resource Fair will be held at The Lot on Main Street.
Activities for children will be available, as well as information about resources for individuals and families. Students will be eligible for free school supplies while they last, so those interested are encouraged to arrive early. Snack vendors will be present as well.
Jennifer Flatt Meredith, executive director for Main Street McMinnville, said that she is looking forward to the resource fair. “We are so excited for this upcoming resource fair with the City. We want to thank our downtown businesses and banks for collecting school supplies to donate. The Balloon Dude will be set up and we will have a few other snack vendors there.”
Just before the resource fair, on Friday, the last Main Street Live concert will be held for the year and Main Street McMinnville will be hosting a giveaway for those who bring and donate supplies this week. “We will draw for a winner at this Friday’s Main Street Live,” said Flatt Meredith. “Every item donated is a ticket into the drawing.”
