Decision to pursue grant reversed

Caden Hurley photo Warren County has decided not to pursue a grant which would have been used to purchase electric school buses.
The Warren County School Board elected to withdraw from a grant to add five new electric buses to its fleet during its monthly meeting on Dec. 2. The board had originally voted to take part in the Electric Vehicle (EV) grant, which would allow the school system to bring five electric buses into its fleet. Director of Schools Grant Swallows presented new information on the EV grant Monday, however, and strongly recommended the board vote to withdraw from the grant and electric bus deal.
