Central sends aid to Elizabethton church

Unicoi County in East Tennessee is missing three of its emergency ambulances, all swept away in the catastrophic flooding from Hurricane Helene. “I saw a $70 - 80,000 Airstream trailer sitting in a tree. One of the volunteer fire departments here lost its pumper truck, picked up and dumped in Wautauga Lake,” said George Ellis, one of the elders at Elizabethton Church of Christ. That church escaped the flooding and is serving as a hub for delivering emergency aid to neighbors.
