Improvements are coming down the pipeline for a section of city sewage. After applying to the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development on April 14 of this year for a grant, the City of McMinnville was informed it was set to receive $630K in much-needed funding to address sewer infrastructure. The city partnered with consulting engineer James C. Hailey and Company to come up with the blueprints and plan for the application and will continue to work with it through the process of implementation. This company has worked with the city since 1987 and contributes to most water and sewer projects. An approximate 3,250 linear feet of sewer collection lines along with manholes, service lines and related appurtenances in the area selected are the focus of the latest grant’s funding.
