Competing for national championship

Photo provided Warren County 4-Hers Takota Moore, Kaytlen Nunley, EmiLee Lassiter and Tage Moore won a state-wide contest on Oct. 5 which has qualified them to compete in San Antonio, Texas in January. FCS Skill-a-thon teaches youth how to identify and define over 300 different kitchen items and ingredients, interior and exterior housing finishings, sewing materials, techniques and fabrics. A team must also come together to solve a random scenario and give a group presentation. The team will be traveling to the FCS National 4-H Contest and Convention in January to compete against 4-H teams from all over the country. It has been 11 years since Warren County 4-H has had a team advance to a national level.
