A traffic accident between a tractor and a motorcycle resulted in the deaths of two Manchester residents last Sunday afternoon. Steven Ray May, 55, and his wife, Deborah Michelle May, 50, were traveling northbound on State Route 127 (Hillisboro-Viola Rd.) around 3:50 p.m. Oct. 13 on their 1998 Honda V7D. According to the crash report filed by Tennessee Highway Patrolman Kevin Denharder, Samuel Kent McColloch, 61, was traveling southbound on 127 in a 1992 Deutz-Allis tractor, and was making a left turn across the northbound lane into an agriculture field when it turned into the Mays’ path of travel.
