National Therapy Animal Day was yesterday, April 30. The day was first recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association to honor the important role of therapy animals in providing emotional support and healing. Local therapy animal Millie Wigglebottom was recently honored for her work as a therapy animal at NHC during the NHC Volunteer Banquet on April 23.
