Multiple teachers at Warren County Schools have been honored as Capturing Kid’s Hearts celebrities of the month.
The Capturing Kid’s Hearts celebrity of the month celebrates teachers who foster meaningful connections and foster a positive classroom culture.
Alison Maynor of West Elementary School was selected as the district’s Capturing Kid’s Hearts celebrity of the month. Maynor is West’s primary morning greeter and welcomes students with a board full of positive quotes or playful sayings that help them feel welcomed to start the day on a positive note.
Maynor’s intervention students created their social contract at the beginning of the year, and she consistently refers to it when working with them. Maynor goes above and beyond for students and will be the facilitator of Leadworthy, a student leadership class which will be held at West in January.
In November, Maynor was also selected as West’s teacher of the year for her dedication to creating an engaging learning environment and fostering student success.
The following teachers and staff were selected as Capturing Kid’s Hearts celebrities on a school level: Chastity Wilson of Warren County High School, Jacqueline Hitchcock of Warren County Middle School, Christy Farless of Morrison Elementary, Heath Roberts of Irving College Elementary, school counselor, Stormy Hall of Hickory Creek Elementary, Chris Hutcheson of Eastside Elementary, Monica Limbaugh of Centertown Elementary and Alicia Rodriguez of Bobby Ray Elementary.
