A single-car accident proved fatal for a young McMinnville woman Tuesday night. Whitny Johnson, 19, was traveling north on Short Mountain Rd. in Cannon County when, according to reports from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, she lost control of her vehicle in a curve, crossing the center line and leaving the roadway.
