Locals raise over $80K for hurricane relief efforts

In what is being hailed as “joyous giving,” Warren County citizens are sending more than $83,000 in cash aid to victims of the Hurricane Helene flooding in East Tennessee. Responding to a special appeal at Central Church of Christ, worshippers donated more than $78,000 in their Sunday morning collection to help residents of Carter and Unicoi counties in recovering and rebuilding after the catastrophic flooding in the western slopes of the Appalachian Mountains.
