The workday got off to a “hot” start Wednesday for local logger and nurseryman Toby Green, when his log truck suffered mechanical problems and the engine caught fire while traveling down Beersheba Hwy. Green was able to get the truck off the roadway and exit the vehicle unscathed, and the Collins River Volunteer Fire Department arrived to extinguish the flames. No one was injured, although the truck was a total loss.
