A suspect charged with the robbery and murder of a Lind St. man nearly six years ago will be tried by a jury of his peers next month. James Earl Wells, Jr. appeared before Judge Bart Stanley Wednesday afternoon, with his attorney, Drew Justice, filing a motion to dismiss his charges which was ultimately overruled. Wells is scheduled for a jury trial beginning Dec. 3. in Circuit Court.
