A motorist was injured and one citation was rendered in a Friday afternoon wreck on Manchester Highway.

At 12:39 p.m., Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) and Warren County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the intersection of Manchester Highway and Old Wells Road to respond to a two-car crash.

According to a report from THP, Willie Turner, 89, pulled out of the far end of the Medley’s Diner parking lot in a 2022 Lincoln Nautilus — where there were no traffic signal lights — and into oncoming traffic. Hani Chelkh Nasser, 66, was traveling along Manchester Highway when his 2011 Chevrolet Cruze collided with Turner’s vehicle in the middle of the intersection, which sent his vehicle into the grass embankment where it came to a rest.

Nasser was injured during the collision and cited for driving without a license.
