The 10th annual Trail of Treats is approaching quickly. Vendors are being sought to hand out sweet treats to trick-or-treaters.
“We are excited about this event,” said McMinnville Parks and Recreation Department director Justin Scott. “It gives parents and their children an opportunity to come and enjoy a fun, safe environment on Halloween. We hope to have a lot of vendors and a lot of folks come out for the event.”
Trail of Treats is a community event where kids can safely participate in Halloween. The event is slated for Oct. 31, from 5 - 6:30 p.m.
McMinnville Parks and Recreation are looking for any churches, businesses, civic groups and non-profits that want to help out this Halloween and provide their own booth which will provide candy and/or activities for the children who attend.
Each vendor needs to make sure they have enough candy, treats, toys, etc. to accommodate a large crowd. They recommend at least 2,000 pieces so no one will be left out.
The booths are 10’ by 10’ and if more space is required, the vendor should mention how many spaces are needed on the application. Those wanting to set up a booth will need to plan on setting things up no later than 4:30 p.m. and vehicles will not be permitted after 4:45 p.m. to ensure safety for the children trick or treating. Tables, chairs, extension cords or display lights are not provided, but electricity can be arranged if needed.
Potential vendors will need to fill out an application which can be obtained at the front desk of Milner Recreation Center. Application deadline is Oct. 14.
Trail of Treats will be located outside at Milner Recreation Center on Halloween.
