More bridge repairs coming

Two more bridges in Warren County will be getting a facelift soon. Bridges on Lucky Road over Mountain Creek and Knight Road over Charles Creek will soon be receiving repairs.Kyle Hazel of Professional Engineering Services, who serves as engineer for the Warren County Highway Department, looked over bids received by the county on both projects. All bids exceeded the estimated costs for repairs.Bids received for the Lucky Road bridge over Mountain Creek were:• Broom Construction – $116,400• Simpson Construction – $137,209Hazel recommended the lowest bidder, Broom Construction, on the project, but did submit a letter to Road Superintendent Levie Glenn noting some concerns with company.Hazel wrote, “We have not worked with Broom Construction Company on any bridge projects.

A trio of local men appeared in court Tuesday morning after being arrested in a drug raid Friday afternoon. Tyson Locke, 23, Toby Meeks, 25, and Curtis Crumb Jr., 39, were all facing multiple charges and were scheduled to appear before General Sessions Judge Ryan J. Moore, stemming from a raid on a house at 106 Beta St., which is part of the McMinnville Housing Authority, Friday just before 4:30 p.m.
