City sued over rezoning dispute

Nikki Childers photos The Pace Street property which is over 30 acres in size is currently zoned as R1 residential but could be rezoned as R6 smart growth if the civil suit leveled against the City of McMinnville is successful in court.
A twice-denied petition for rezoning a property has picked up the pace and is now headed for the courtroom. Heron Homes, which is owned by Harrison Hale, has filed suit against the City of McMinnville after multiple attempts to rezone property it owns on Pace St. in the northern part of the city limits.
